Project “The Generation Next Youth Empowerment Summit” is a conception of ELBATIVENI FOUNDATION, the human capacity development arm of Elbativeni Impressions and Consult. The Summit is a project borne out of the need to build capacity for the youths of our dear nation Nigeria, who are living in a contemporary and challenging time, as integral to engendering their development and upward advancement, for a better Nigeria.

Elbativeni Foundation sees the need to play its part in harnessing and utilizing resources available to ensure that the gaps that exist in the lives of youths are bridged. The project is targeted at addressing their specific needs and creating the desired impact of change, in the lives and endeavours of the target group.

The number of youths from the country’s population, that are displaced, unemployed and sometimes dim-minded continues to grow exponentially, over the years. Meanwhile, just a little nudge or push – with deliberations, advocacy and strong ideas for relevance and impact, can be the much-needed antidote, to help set them on the right track, toward living a more productive and accomplishing life in the society. Hence, we combine compassion and business acumen to scale solutions that are needed now more than ever to use the platform as a fascinating offering, packed full of ideas combined with real-life stories of journeys and lessons learned the hard way from role models and Young achievers in empowering and inspiring for change amongst youths.

At Elbativeni Impressions And Consult, we believe that every youth whether unemployed, established, a corporate executive considering the next career move, or a recent graduate intending on launching a start-up, our project “The Generation Next Youth Empowerment Summit” will bring a strong leverage and advantage for inspiration and growth.

We realized early on that we cannot do everything, so we work with partners-NGOs, faith-based groups, government parastatals, media organizations and for-profit organizations to achieve this mission.

VISION | OBJECTIVES

The general vision of THE GENERATION NEXT YOUTHS SUMMIT focuses to inform, reform, sensitize and empower the youths on basic philosophies of life that are crucial and strategic to achieving outstanding success, in their various endeavours, in the Nigeria of today.

The specific objectives of the summit include:

• To sensitize the youths on entrepreneurship opportunities abound
• To inform youths about their strategic role and place in the Nigerian society.
• To aid youths to see the need to reform attitudes for positive changes.
• To empower youths through philosophies and concepts that are crucial for success and achievement and to examine their individual uniqueness.
• To sensitize youths about their abilities and capacity for impact.

THE PAST EVENT

HOW IT WAS BORN, WHERE AND WHEN IT HAPPENED, WHAT TOOK PLACE, KEY ACHIEVEMENTS FROM THE EVENT:
The convening of “The Generation Next Youth Empowerment Summit 2016” was a culmination of the above objectives and vision. In 2010 the First edition of the summit took place in Kaduna state. The maiden edition was tagged “Empowering Your Uniqueness” and took place on Saturday the 25^th of September  2010, at the Gamji Multi-purpose Hall Theatre, Kaduna State.
Staying true to the target, the audience drew from the 18-35 years generation with over 250 youths in attendance to grace the event.

It was the Convener and the organization’s desire to make the ADMISSION Free for participants and this was successfully achieved and translated to be one of the achievements of the maiden edition.
The past event featured very articulate and outstanding facilitators and success Icons of national and international reputes with strong dedicated personal and professional portfolios of achievements.
